Dr. Lydia Muccioli

Dr. Lydia Muccioli Johns Creek, GADr. Lydia Muccioli was born in Korea, daughter of a U.S. Army service member father and native Korean mother. She spent half her childhood abroad in Asia and the other half in Georgia and Alabama. She graduated with a BA from Jacksonville State University and went on to Dental School at the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry. Upon enrolling into dental school, she was awarded the U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship which paid for her dental school education. In return, she served three years as a Dental Officer in the United States Army. During her military career, Dr. Muccioli completed a One-Year Advanced Education General Dentistry Residency. This program gave Dr. Muccioli advanced training in the areas of endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics and surgery. Her assignments included a one-year tour overseas in Korea and then the Pentagon. At the Pentagon, she was handpicked to run a clinic responsible for treating General Officers of General’s Row, those attending the National Defense University and the military staff to the White House.

Upon leaving the military in 2002, Dr. Muccioli worked in private practice in the Washington D.C. area until she moved with her Dental Officer husband to Augusta Georgia. From 2005 to 2011, Dr. Muccioli worked on two separate Army installations as a civilian dental provider. The first was at Eisenhower Army Hospital treating the Medical Providers and auxiliary staff of the hospital. The second location was Fort Stewart Dental Clinic. There she worked in a multidisciplinary clinic preparing soldiers for the many deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. This was an amazing highlight of her career and Dr. Muccioli knows of no higher honor than to have cared for and treated the men and women who serve our country during a time of war.

Dr. Muccioli has recently moved to the Atlanta area with her husband and two sons. She is looking forward to raising her children here and becoming involved in the community. She is a member of American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. She is currently working toward her mastership of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Muccioli believes in building relationships with those she treats and is committed to delivering the highest standard of comprehensive care to her patients.

    • My husband and I are recent transplants to Georgia and had not had the chance to shop for a dentist when the unthinkable happened: my husband ‘s molar broke off. We hit the internet to find a dentist that was close by and might be able to see him immediately. By some stroke of good fortune we contacted the Mucciolli dental practice and he was able to get in the next day. His experience was so positive that I set up a hygiene appointment and dental review for myself. The office is high tech with every possible comfort one could ask for. But more importantly, the people in the office - the dental assistants, hygienists, and the dentists - are highly skilled, care about their patients and make a visit that most people dread into something actually enjoyable! We have found our life-long dental practice and are patting ourselves on the back for finding them!!

    • I wake one morning with a tooth ache. My wife Google search for a dental office near our house. She call and schedule an appointment which they had open spot , thankfully. I walk into the office and was greeted kindly by his front staff member, Laurie. I love the way how everyone is so friendly and upbeat. Dr. Randy and his assistant Lisa, took care of me that day. I can say my first time in his office was super pleasant considering I had two of my tooth pulled during my visit. Later on the evening Dr. Randy called me personally to see how I was feeling. If you are looking for a great dentist. I would highly recommend Dr. Randy Muccioli. Thank you Dr. Randy

    • This is the best dentist I've ever been to. My husband and daughter agree. Both of the doctors are fabulous. They're gentle and thorough and explain issues and treatment options. The hygienists are also great. The office manager is the best ever; always courteous and responsive. They have televisions overhead to distract during procedures. The office is space is nicely decorated and always spotless. Let's be honest, it's still a trip to the dentist but I don't dread it anymore...

    • Let me first start by saying I suffer from a serious fear of any type of dental work: checkups, cleanings, X-rays, fillings, etc. My dental fear was a primary reason for me not going to the dentist, I was long overdue for a cleaning and checkup, I kept delaying it because of my fear. I needed to find a dentist close to my new home. My boyfriend's mother suggested Muccioli Dental (she recently started going) so I sucked it up and made an appt: dental cleaning and X-rays (I had cavities, yikes!! so my fear was at a level 10). The staff was so friendly and completely sympathized with my fear and helped me feel comfortable and safe. They're so friendly. I loved that. Dr Randy was so good about talking me through everything, very gentle and kept checking on me. Bedside manner is awesome. I've never had this kind of amazing experience at the dentist. I've had follow up appts and my anxiety is nothing like it normally is when I have to go to the dentist. Muccioli Dental is the best dental experience anywhere and this is coming from someone who is deathly afraid of dentists. This is the place to go: everyone from the front office staff, assistants and especially the dentists are patient, friendly and very kind. Best dentists in Atlanta. Keep up the good work, Muccioli Dental!!!

    • I was referred to doctor Randy by an oral surgeon. At first I thought my dentist was great until I decided to get a second opinion and that's when I realized what a huge mistake I would have made if I would have continued to see my regular dentist. My smile is very important and perfection is what I expect. My experience with Doctor Randy, was like no other. The office staff is friendly, helpful and not pushy at all. Dr. Randy is honest, direct and will go out of his way to make you feel like you're the only patient he has. I was able to ask a lot of questions and even after I left the office, I called a few times. Lori, the office manager followed up and answered every question with a smile. I am so happy with the work that I will never go back to a general dentist for cosmetic dentistry and neither should you. Chances are, your dentist will probably charge you similar fees but the quality of work and experience will not be Five Stars. Do your self a favor, call doctor Randy for a second opinion. You owe it to yourself! You too deserve a Perfect Smile!!!

    • Always a very friendly and professional experience all the way from booking the appointment to check out. I have had my teeth cleaned a few times and it has been a very seamless and painless experience each time. I also had two wisdom teeth removed and dr. Randy did an absolutely fantastic job keeping me calm, assured and feeling confident, particularly because I asked him not to sedate me during the process, and I was awake through the whole thing, at my request. Just had my teeth cleaned today and it was nice to see Laurie at the front desk who is always very personable. The dental hygenist Ryan did a great job and was very efficient. Dr. Randy Muccioli is very knowledgeable as usual and gave me some solid advice and easy to follow tips for dental care.

I was referred to this office by out orthodontist- I needed a second opinion for a procedure, dr Randy impressed us so much with his knowledge and honest conservative approach that we decided to move our whole family of 5 to this office, and we are very pleased with the top notch care that we receive and the office staff are also very kind and helpful.
