Dr. Randy Muccioli
Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Randy Muccioli received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh and later earned his D.M.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, he was commissioned as a U.S. Army Dental Officer and completed a U.S. Army one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. This invaluable year of advanced training and education gave him the experience and expertise to perform more complex dental procedures in all areas of dentistry. After completing this one-year residency, Dr. Muccioli served as a general dentist in Korea. He was then assigned to the Pentagon where he provided dental services to our Nation’s top ranking officers and enlisted personnel. As his interest in restorative dentistry grew, Dr. Muccioli applied for and was selected for a three-year U.S. Army Prosthodontic Residency at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Upon graduation, he served as the Chief of Prosthodontics and Laboratory Services and Chief of Dental Forensics at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
Dr. Muccioli has a combined four years of post-graduate residency training beyond the training of a general dentist. This extra training and experience makes him well-qualified to handle complex treatment needs. In addition to a vast amount of clinical experience, he also gained a significant amount of dental laboratory experience by working directly with several certified dental technicians over the years. This combination of clinical and laboratory dental experience is truly what makes Dr. Muccioli an expert in restorative dentistry.
After thirteen years of active duty military service, Dr. Muccioli decided to open a private dental practice with his wife, general dentist Dr. Lydia Muccioli. Muccioli Dental opened in November of 2012 and serves the residents of Johns Creek, Duluth and Alpharetta with comprehensive general, restorative and esthetic dental care.
Dr. Randy Muccioli is committed to providing the highest quality dental care possible for all of his patients. This involves carefully listening to his patients and thoroughly educating them regarding their dental conditions as well as their treatment options. Dr. Muccioli performs his dentistry with a great passion and a high level of detail that is hard to match.
Dr. Muccioli continues to serve our country in the U.S. Army Reserve at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
